For instance , according to attractions of Beijing , the Palace Museum , the palace of ancient emperors , is a reflection of the highest level in ancient China . If you visit there , you will be amazed at the prosperity of ancient China and the technique of Chinese craftsmen . In addition , the Great Wall as ancient defensive system is one of the greatest construction in the world .It is twenty one thousand kilometers long and made of stores . You can not even imagine how did people finish it more than two thousand years ago . What’s more , Tian An Men Square which has important meaning of new China ; The Temple of Heaven that ancient emperors held major event ; The Bird’s Nest in which the 2008 Olympic Games were held .               Delicious food are also an essential element of Beijing . For example , soybean cake , Chinese yam and date rolls , crisp noodles and so on .            As we all known , Valentine’s Day is a western traditional festival . It is a day about love and romance which many people will express their love to others , so I want to introduce some details about it .

          First of all , the origin of Valentine’s Day is that a soldier against the rule which the king didn’t allow people to get marry due to the war , but he broke the law for his lover and were executed on 14^th February . As a result , people consider the day as a loving day .

         In addition , it is only important in west , but now it is popular all over the world , especially for young couples . Many couples choose to have a big romantic dinner in this day , there may have roses and candles , and then they will change gifts which they were well prepared long days before . They will show their love to each other even though they are too shy to express their love in daily life .

        What’s more , not only is Valentine’s Day just for couples , but also it is a festival for every lovers , like family , friends . This year for Valentine’s Day , our teacher assigned a special homework that write a letter to our friends . At the beginning I was very distressed about it because I never did it before , but when I finished it I realized the meaning of this assignment . Showing our love is a special skill which we may be shy to use it , but we should remember that our world is full of love .

As we all known , people ‘s life is closely related to the weather , there are both good effects and bad effects , the most observable parts are people’s healthy , transportation and mood . First of all , some illnesses are caused by bad weather . When people continue to work in sunny day which hot like an oven , people are very likely to sunstroke . For people with arthritis , it is very pained during the raining day . There are a huge amount of people have flu whenever the weather is changeable in short period . When we meet the haze , people always wear masks on the street because it may cause serious bronchitis . In addition , the weather also make huge influents in traffic , it may give us lots of annoyance in our daily travels . When it snows , it is very dangerous on the road whether you walk or drive ; furthermore , you need to be very careful on a foggy day . It is a common thing that plan be cancelled due to the lighting or rain . What’s more , our mood also may be different in different weathers . Most of people will be happy in sunny day , while they may be depressed in raining day . In conclusion , weather affects our body and our life hugely . In spite the fact that it influences our healthy ,traffic and wood , we can’t completely eliminate its effects , what we can do is to minimize its disadvantages and enlarge its advantages .

              Keeping healthy is an exceedingly important part in my daily life , and I follow three methods which are having a healthy diet , doing exercise regularly and relaxing to stay fit . First of all , I always have a healthy diet . I eat more vegetables and fruit in order to have rich nutrition . I am used to drinking at least eight glasses of water everyday , and I prefer cooking at home to eating fast food in a restaurant . Secondly , doing exercise is necessary for me because it makes me stronger . I typically go to the gym or do some aerobic exercise after school . When I want to try some new things , I will learn a new sport and enjoy it . Last but not least , I have found a way to relax that works for me . When I feel stressed , I like listening to music while reading a novel . This is the most enjoyable time for me . Although a good diet , exercise and relaxation are just my experiences , they may be helpful to your health as well .                  

          There are a huge amount of selections in our hole life , some of them may just be a simple choice such as you choose a dress when you are shopping , in contrast , a few of these may make a huge different in your life , like you choose a department before  university which will decide your future jobs . In the first eighteen years of my life , the decision to go abroad is one of the most important choices .

         Even though I am only a child , my parents respect my decisions . My grades in high school was  enough to get into a good university in China, so many people may think I just do not want to experience College Admission of China which is very hard . I always believe what I want , not only train my independent ability but also study further about different cultures and knowledge .

        When I considered that I will study abroad , I checked many relevant knowledge online and asked many friends for their opinions . Although I did not have heavy examination pressure like my classmates , I also did my best in every exams so I get good grades in my high school .

        In my opinion , studying abroad must change my life path , in other words , if I never live home , I will depend on my parents until I get to work or longer ; if I never try this road , I will not have chance to experience more troubles and grow up faster ; if I never choose a new way of studying , I will not practice my ability in social contact .

         At present , my goal is to undertake the consequences of my option whether good or bad , but I will do my best to achieve my plans when I did this choice .  

        People  have different ideas when they are faced with choices , we need to consider carefully because it may make all different , but once you had made your decision , remember to keep going and never give up .

         It has been 6 months  since I have lived in this city , Although I visited Vancouver 3 times before, when I first arrived ,this city gave me a sense of familiarity. Maybe it is similar to my hometown in some parts such as both of them are peaceful and clean , so I adapt my surroundings completely .

      The place which impressed me the most is the Stanley Park, not only does that have beautiful view , but also there is the biggest city central park in the world . This is the best choice for most Vancouver citizen to go for a walk in their free time . Riding a bike is also a good project if you want to relax , you can enjoy fresh air and green trees along the way .

      Another place that I very enjoyed is Deep Cove , where is in North Vancouver and very famous for kayaking , I tried that with my friends and it was very excited . The mountain near the beach is very popular for people who likes nature and mountain climbing , we almost can see the whole Downtown at the top of the mountain and I was deeply attracted by the beautiful scenery .

       I really want to travel to Victoria Island , because I hared about there are many good places for traveling such as The Butchart Garden , I also want to go to The Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park and some famous museums .

     All of these beautiful places appeal to me very much ,and I wish I can find more good things in the city .

There are some different kinds of experiences in my 18 years , the most impressed day in my mind is the day which happened two years ago .

        The prefect day started in a evening , it was the day before our school sports meeting .After we finished our homework at school , I found my best friend went to my home where is very closed to school , because I persuaded my mom to go to another place to sleep and give us an empty house . On our way home , we planned our night in excitement , we bought a lot of snacks to home .

       When we arrived home , we showered and changed our clothes , we turned the music very loud . And then we got out in order to go to movie , it was the first time I went to the movie at midnight without my parents . we were very happy like a bird out of a cage .Maybe it was too late so that there was just a few cars on the road .

      After we finished the movie we went back to my neighbor , we did not went home , we just found a place and communicate with each others . In despite of meeting each other at school everyday but we also had lots of things to talk with . The reason why we did not go sleep was that we were going to see the sunrise , the sunrise was so beautiful that we all were intoxicated with it and forgot our sleepiness . We went back home and washed faces in hurry ,the next day was coming .

       The sports meeting and the arts festival were amazing , I took part in a competition with my friends , we tried our best and won the game finally .

      This is my perfect day . Not only did I gain happiness and have fun with my friend , but also I tried something new (maybe was not very good ) in my life . I will keep that sweet memory in my heart forever!

        I am very glad to meet you at school, today is the first day we met each others , so I want to introduce myself to you

         I am a Chinese girl who has already been here for five months . I just finished my language class last month and came to this college to continue my study . I live in Vancouver with my family and my two dogs . When I was in China , I wanted to know more about other countries and the world , so I went abroad to study .

          Now the most important things about my study is to improve my English . I love English very much , but I also have some problems about reading and some other parts . I usually go to the gym four times a week with my sister . In my view , the start time of the writing class is too early , because when I leave home , the sky is as dark as midnight !

          In the future , I want to be an architect , I like to observe many different styles of buildings in different cities . And I want to live in a beautiful house which I design , I believe I will be very proud of myself at that time .

         In conclusion , a letter is too short to show myself , I think we can be familiar with each other in the future study . Hoping to get good grades in your class .
